Pete Buttigieg on Bernie Sanders: "If he got nominated, I would do everything in my power to help, but I think it is a terrible risk to take in an election that we absolutely dare not lose" #DemDebate https://t.co/DAaIVIyoYb pic.twitter.com/lk6aghqrOZ

PUNDITS TALK PETE
#DemDebate @DrVMDS: "What a couple of candidates did tonight which was so effective -- I think @PeteButtigieg was one of the best at this -- is he said 'we need to come together because here's the real deal: Congress and the courts." pic.twitter.com/N3OgiZxsAf

#DemDebate @GloriaBorger: I thought there were times for me when [@PeteButtigieg] seemed to be kind of a truth teller there, saying, 'Look at what we're looking at' [...] & then he said that Trump was stuck in the 50s & Bernie was stuck in the 60s. That's a pretty good line too. pic.twitter.com/9tdfbwM79Y

Winner: Pete Buttigieg – Mayor Pete was on fire during the South Carolina debate. Buttigieg was on a mission to take on Bernie Sanders, and his message keeps getting clearer and his voice stronger as his campaign goes on. https://t.co/GG1ECeU1Zi

TWEETS
The winner of debate was @PeteButtigieg, by a lot. Mayor a Bloomberg lost. Joe didn’t stop the bleeding in Super Tuesday early bleeding. Bernie is still atop the hill, and he will sweep up delegates by the hundreds a week from tonight. And I’m relieved #covid19 isn’t a big deal.

Hands down, @PeteButtigieg won this debate. Not a scream or a brag. Not a self serving fact or a untenable promise. Just clear, rational, concise and relatable ideas. Wits, heart and soul. Congratulations, Mayor.

My scorecard: Bernie got roughed up but still rolling. Biden wobbly but showed spark. Pete very good but SC so tough, he has to beat Bernie or Joe. Bloom far better but no champ at this. CBS awful. Warren was a crazy lunging death rattle; went ugly/too far. Amy? Doesn’t matter.

.@PeteButtigieg put in one of his finest debates of the entire cycle. He’s without a doubt the best debater on stage. #DemDebate
